In this role you are responsible for all the operational controlling activities within Area Belgium together with your team of 4 operations controllers. Next to managing the day-to-day follow-up of the operational results of each factory, you also improve profitability, enhance efficiencies and harmonize all financial procedures and reporting between all plants.

  • We count on you to manage your team in executing all operational controlling activities in our 4 factories (Lembeke, Oostakker, Courcelles and Eeklo) and the logistical center in Lokeren.
  • Important is that you harmonize financial procedures and reporting between all plants.
  • You are responsible for the budget of all plants where you yearly review the plant standard cost components, and prepare the operational & efficiency targets.
  • You are able to present monthly, budget and ad-hoc reportings in a clear and structured way.
  • You also drive the Capex and Opex budgets in the yearly budgeting process, the latest estimate process and monthly review process.
  • Next to that you are a cooperating manager, as in you execute the controlling activity for our plant in Eeklo yourself. In this you’re responsible for the accounting figures, composing all reportings, all investment creations and analysis, monitor and report Capex against budget and guidelines.
  • Overall you pro-actively analyse figures to identify potential business opportunities f.e. cost savings, efficiencies, increase visibility costing of factory and translate into reporting.
  • Last but not least you play an active role in Group financial and reporting projects. You share best practices to improve the total Area performance through our Finance and Operations community.
  • In this role you have 4 direct reports and you report to the Finance Director Belgium.

Profiel

To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:

  • A Master’s degree in Economics
  • We expect you to have a decent experience in financial accounting or controlling.
  • Given the strong link with operations, a personal interest (or experience) with the field is needed.
  • Since you are responsible for different plants, we expect some flexibility towards working on location. By default, you will work from our headquarters in Lembeke, but you can expect to be on site for 1 or 2 days per week.
  • Next to an excellent mastership of Excel, fluency in Dutch & English is expected.
