Factory Automation Engineer

• Design automation systems & machine layouts in terms of OHS & ergonomics regulations.• Management of the automation aspect of the assigned CAPEX project from initiation to handover to the internal customer.• Selecting and managing suppliers and contractors. • Integrate automation systems including robotic systems with existing infrastructure and other production equipment. • Optimize existing automated systems in the factory to improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability.• Prepare documentation for automated systems and user manuals and ensure that training for the operators is done by you. • Work with cross-functional teams, including quality, maintenance, manufacturing, occupational health and safety, to implement automation systems and best practices. • Research, and develop recent technologies and solutions for automation, as well as testing new products that could be used in the current automation systems.
Profiel
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/ Automation or Process control
Specific knowledge:• Understanding of electrical installation regulations & electrical machinery regulations (OHS Act) • Prior experience on automated packaging machines• Mechanical & Electrical Engineering
Experience:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Factory Automation or similar role
