Corporate QA Engineer

Due to our growing team in Corporate Quality we’re looking for a Corporate QA Engineer. In this role, you ensure that all certification norms with regard to quality, food law, food safety and sustainability are managed for all our plants worldwide.

Job description

  • To assure that all international requirements in the certifications standards regarding quality, claims, food safety and sustainability are correct implemented and executed, you proactively follow those standards and implement new or adapted procedures and instructions when required.
  • In all this, you work very closely with the Corporate QA/Technical Managers and their teams of QA Engineers/Technologists. You make sure there is a system in place. They implement it in our plants and with our production partners worldwide.
  • Furthermore, you define an internal and external audit programm that is fit for purpose to guarantee the validity of the certificates. The internal audits are executed by our trained internal audit team.
  • You ensure all international QA teams apply a risk based supplier audit program according relevant certification norms. You’ll execute the initial audits yourself for critical production partners, raw materials and packaging materials worldwide.
  • When necessary you attend and assist during local site audits.
  • You support the regulatory compliance team in client questions regarding certification norms.
  • In this funtion, you have no direct reports and you report to the Corporate QA Director.

Profile

  • You have a Master’s degree Bio-Engineer or Bioscience Engineering Technology.
  • You have at least 2-3 years of experience in implementing food safety and sustainability certification in an international environment.
  • You have experience with a quality management system (QMS) and a passion for food and quality!
  • You have a good knowledge of BRC and/or IFS. If any experience with sustainability norms (RSPO, Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade) and/or claims certification (gluten free, vegan, Halal, Kosher, non-GMO), you have a big advantage.
  • You always think in a solution-oriented way, take initiative and use your analytical thinking, coordination and organisational skills to obtain the best results.
  • Finally you speak, read and understand English fluently.
