Job description

  • You establish, streamline and implement the Lotus Bakeries purchase strategy (procedures, guidelines, tools, responsibilities, KPI’s, …) for the procurement of (industrial) properties, buildings, production lines, machinery, … in order to optimise the TCO.
  • You consolidate the major purchases for the Global Biscoff strategic projects and negotiate the long-term contracts to secure the best possible pricing.
  • In this role, you also initiate and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure good, reliable sources of supply and information.
  • Working closely with internal stakeholders (local procurement teams and technical buyers), you set up a sourcing committee to align the procurement strategy and the status of the project portfolio.

Profile

To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:

  • A relevant Master’s degree, combined with a strong (7-10 years) experience in strategic (technical) procurement, preferrably in FMCG.
  • Excellent negotiation & communication skills, topped with commercial awareness, entrepreneurial thinking and effective organisational skills.
  • A combination of strategic insights in procurement and a technical affinity, allowing you to both set the optimal approach and execute the operational action plan.

  • A global mindset in both attitude (regular travel) and communication (English is key)
