Finance Director Sales Offices Europe

Based in our HQ in Belgium, the Finance Director takes the responsibility over the Finance department of our European Sales Offices, covering both business units Biscuits & Bakery and Natural Foods.

Job description

  • Leading a team of 3 Business Controllers and a Supply Chain Controller, you ensure both operational excellence as well as personal growth for the team.
  • You are responsible for the accounting figures and reporting packages, including management & sales reportings, translation of customer agreements into SAP and the SAP product costing process.
  • You manage and drive realization of cash flow targets, prepare sound and realistic business cases for Capex projects and drive integrated actions towards reduction of working capital and reaching working capital targets.
  • Focusing on budgeting and forecasting, you develop, monitor and coordinate the planning & budget process together with the General Manager and Country Managers and drive the sales budgets and opex budgets in the yearly budgeting process.
  • By, among others, pro-actively analyzing figures to identify potential business opportunities, you also improve profitability and enhance efficiencies.
  • As key-user for the day to day applications (SAP, BI, …) you support the local teams as commerial/financial business partner, helping them closely monitor financial performance and steer business accordingly.
  • We also count on you to steer the S&OP process within the Area, by coordinating and challenge the input from the countries, identying potential bottle necks and finding solutions by discussing with all stakeholders.

Profile

To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:

  • A Master’s degree in a relevant, economic or finance-based study field, combined with at least 10 years of experience in a financial accounting and business controlling domain
  • A solid background in leading teams, helping them to continuously grow.
  • Experience in supply chain optimization projects and S&OP steering.
  • Strong interpersonal competences, able to build relations in a multicultural environment and with experienced senior management.
  • A critical mind willing to understand and analyze the business drivers behind the numbers.
  • A team-oriented mindset, working well in a collaborative, highly committed culture, including a pro-active and challenging mentality.
  • A hands-on approach combined with a strategic view to structurally improve ways of working.
  • A sharp analytical mind and the ability to solve problems
  • Fluency in Dutch & English.
  • The willingness to travel within Europe; about 15 trips of 2-3 days, visiting the countries in the AREA SOF EU
