As Group Procurement Officer, you are the central point of contact for suppliers and internal customers. You assist the buyers and purchasing manager with procurement activities and manage the administrative processes in SAP, ensuring all data related to purchased packaging and raw materials is up to date for accurate reporting and analysis. You report to the Group Procurement Manager Packaging, and are based in Lembeke, Belgium.

Job description

  • You are responsible for the overall management of the Material Master Data in SAP. This involves monitoring the master data flow, creating packaging and raw material articles in SAP, as well as requesting and registering specifications and associated quality documents.

 

  • You ensure the quality of the master data by conducting regular data check and requesting necessary information from suppliers. Maintaining accurate and updated records will support precise company reporting and facilitate analysis by purchasers.

 

  • You are responsible for verifying discrepant invoices, following up on returns, and managing the receipt of credit notes.

 

  • You provide ad-hoc support for the outsourcing procurement team, including the preparation and follow-up of procurement audits. Additionaly, you serve as a backup for the other procurement coordinators in Belgium and Switzerland.

 

  • Your role also involves supporting various tasks, such as assisting buyers with tender preparations and contributing to sustainability reporting and related KPIs.

Profile

To be able to achieve the above and be successful in this role we believe you need to have:

 

  • A bachelor’s degree. Experience in a similar Master Data or Procurement function is a plus.
  • A passion for working accurately with data and IT systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (mainly Excel). Experience with an ERP package (preferably SAP) is a plus.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in an international environment.
  • Fluent communication skill in English. Dutch and French would be an added bonus.
